WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO DO CARPET REPAIR?
'The
Temperament of a Watchmaker'
We promote Gary Myers in all our
online newsletters.
You might be wondering just what he can do.
Gary is a carpet repair specialist.
The first thing you need to know about Gary
is that he has many years of experience. He is old school, being taught a far more
demanding protocol. He installed carpet for several years and then went into retail before returning to become
a union supervisor. In the 80s, he opened a profitable retail store. Now he's semi-retired and specializes in carpet
repair work.
Not everyone realizes that carpets can be repaired.
The most common
problems that Gary sees are:
Gary will discuss with
you your special situation
and let
you know if he can improve it.
Most
of us don't know what can be accomplished, so getting his expert opinion is quite valuable.
Achieving a quality result is the goal.
If that can not be achieved, Gary will let you know.
He will refuse to do a job if he can't get quality results.
If you ignore these problems, they only get worse over time.
Solutions to common problems:
1. Stretching carpet that has
bumps and ridges.
2. Carpet worn at the door jam can be plugged.
3. Parts of a carpet that have been permanently stained
can be cut out and plugged.
4. If a pet has repeatedly urinated on the carpet, it will need
to be cleaned to make sure it's worth saving
(It gets pulled up and then cleaned on both sides).
(This
is a situation where Elliot and Gary can work together.)
If it can be saved, then the padding can be replaced, new track strips are installed
and if needed the carpet can be plugged.
If you don't have pieces of the original carpet to work with, to replace damaged
parts, there are ways to work around that.
An Additional Service for those who are purchasing new carpet: Gary offers a consultation for $50.
He will come to your home and
accurately measure your space. That way you will be in a better position to bargain for a good price at your local carpet
store. Being knowledgeable when you walk into a show room can save you money and the sales person will be happy because
it saves them time and effort. Gary can give you advise on what to look for when you pick out quality carpeting.
You want the best quality for a good price.
Carpet retail outlets,
contractors, listing agents, and previous patrons, consider Gary an honest, skilled and reliable man.
We promote Gary's work because
we believe he is the best.
Atlas doesn't have any financial arrangements with Gary.
Many other carpet cleaner's recommend him
too.
